The team

No titles. No pyramid. The person you meet is the person who does the work.

Large firms sell you a partner and staff you with analysts. We do not have the org chart to pull that off, which is the point. Find the practice area you need below and you will find the person who will be in the room — from Asheville to Honolulu, six people with roughly a hundred and thirty years between them.

Thirty years on both sides of the table. Founded Healthy State, a health system subsidiary selling coverage directly to employers. Earlier, CEO of Ascentia Health Care Solutions, whose team led Renaissance Health Network to become the first Pioneer ACO in the country — and before that, health plan CEO at Coventry and head of medical economics for Aetna’s Southeast region. Healthy Opportunities Pilot

North Carolina’s Healthy Opportunities Pilot is the first program in the country to let Medicaid pay directly for food, housing, transportation, and interpersonal safety — up to $650 million authorized under a Section 1115 waiver, with no precedent to copy. We contributed to the grant application and then built out one of the three regional pilot sites end to end: planning, human-services network development, referral infrastructure, and live operations.

Direct-to-employer solutions

We designed and built a direct-to-employer health plan business for a health system — the corporate structure that insulated it from insurance risk, a rented vendor stack that kept costs variable, and a sequence that started with brokerage cash flow and deferred insurance risk until the network had earned it. The entity is still operating today, years later, under a different name. That is the test we hold this work to.

First-wave Pioneer ACO

Our team led Renaissance Health Network to become the first Pioneer ACO in the country — downside risk taken before the playbook existed.

Testimony before the U.S. Senate

Our founder testified before the Senate Finance Committee on innovations in health care, describing how an IPA of 250 primary care physicians delivered high quality at low cost.

Built, not advised

A clinically integrated network of 1,100 physicians and three hospital systems, accountable to CMS for 103,000 lives. Stood up from nothing.
